Creativity and Movement: First Week of School at Montessori

The first week of school held a bit of adventure.  We had little mishap with a large tree branch that collapsed during a monsoon storm.  The branch landed on the roof of our outdoor environment!  But the great team at the school had it cleared quickly and we only had to close down the outdoor environment the next day for about 45 minutes.

YES we have done a little bit of planting and a whole lot of painting.  AND the herb in our revamped book case planter have started to grow.

We came across this lovely project and love it!  We will be adding to our list of available craft projects to teach your group.  AND I plan on modifying it to teach to the Montessori class.

Creativity and Movement: Art Work Coming to our Montessori School

This year I begin the wonderful adventure of working in the Outdoor Environment at a local Montessori school.  I am blessed to have a beautiful lead teacher who is allowing me to take the skills acquired from AMI training and translate them into lessons for art, gardening, woodworking and physical fitness.  This is some of the artwork hanging in our environment.
