  • Brainy buddies: Pigs are one of the smartest animals on Earth. They can play simple video games, learn their names in just a couple of weeks, and solve tricky puzzles. [1, 2, 3]
  • Talking pigs: They do not just oink. Pigs use more than 20 different sounds to talk to each other, from happy grunts to loud squeals. Mother pigs even "sing" softly to their piglets when it is time to eat. [1, 2, 3]
  • Super sniffers: A pig's nose is thousands of times more sensitive than a human nose. Some pigs use their snouts to find hidden underground treats like truffles! [1, 2]
Why Mud is Awesome
  • Built-in sunscreen: Pigs do not have sweat glands like humans do, which means they cannot sweat.
  • Cooling spa: Rolling in mud keeps them nice and cool on hot days and acts as a shield against sunburn and bugs.
  • Actually clean: Even though people say "as messy as a pig," pigs are very neat. If they have enough space, they always keep their bathroom area far away from where they sleep and eat.
