My name is Robin Norgren, M.A. and I am here to help make Montessori philosophy more relevant in the classroom. I found my way into educational spaces as a mother of Creative children yet I am not an art teacher. One of the blogs that really inspired me to go for it in the area of teaching art classes to kids is Patty over at Deep Space Sparkle. Here is a lesson I am going to try for sure. My students are always interested in getting a chance to draw people and this seems like a nice intro lesson.

Here is a fun mixed media lesson that I have done many times and the students love it! They get to play with color by working with scrapbook paper and it helps invite any studnet who might be timid with color to give it a go.
