- Discovered by Goats: Long ago in Ethiopia, a goatherd named Kaldi noticed his goats were jumping and dancing around after eating red berries from a bush. Those berries were coffee cherries! [1, 2, 3, 4]
- Coffee is a Fruit: Coffee "beans" are not actually beans. They are the pits or seeds hidden inside a bright red fruit called a coffee cherry. [1, 2]
- The First Webcam: Scientists at Cambridge University in 1991 got tired of walking to the breakroom only to find an empty coffee pot. So, they invented the world's first webcam to watch the coffee pot from their computer screens!
