Rabbits do a happy dance called a "binky" by leaping and twisting in the air, they can purr when they feel happy and relaxed just like cats do, and they have special ears that can turn all the way around by 270 degrees to listen for danger. [1, 2, 3]
Super Jumpers and Dancers
- The Binky: When a bunny feels super happy, it does a joyful jump called a binky. It kicks its feet and twists its body mid-air.
- High Leaps: Rabbits are great athletes. They can jump as high as 90 centimeters (3 feet) off the ground in a single hop. [1]
Sounds and Super Senses
- Happy Purrs: Just like a cat, a relaxed and content rabbit makes a soft purring sound by gently rubbing its teeth together.
Body and Vision
- Almost 360-Vision: Their eyes are placed high on the sides of their head. This lets them see what is behind them and above them to watch out for hawks and other animals.
- Endless Teeth: A rabbit's teeth never stop growing. They chew on grass and twigs all day to wear them down.
