Josey's Art School Art Classes in Arizona: A community project idea with a bird theme

Birds - give students the paper with the branch already drawn and they do the rest - then it will fit together into a group mural. Tiles?:  

This super cute mural makes me want to create an art lesson where a school can create a community board.  I would love to see the way some of you might adapt this idea - leave your link in the comments.
