I am OBSESSED with these mobiles I have been seeing everythere!

Make a fun hanging mobile with kids using air-dry clay, string, a small stick or wooden dowel, and acrylic paint. Shape the clay, poke hanging holes before it dries, paint the hardened pieces, and tie them to the frame. [1, 2]
Materials Needed
- Air-dry clay
- Wooden stick or dowel
- Yarn, string, or fishing line
- Skewer or toothpick
- Acrylic paints and brushes
- Cookie cutters or rolling pin (optional)
Step-by-Step Instructions
- Roll and shape: Roll the clay flat on a non-stick surface. Use cookie cutters or your hands to make shapes like stars, animals, or circles. [1, 2]
- Poke holes: Use a skewer to poke a hole through the top of each shape. If pieces will hang below one another, poke a hole at both the top and bottom. [1]
- Dry completely: Place the shapes on parchment paper. Let them dry for 24 to 48 hours until hard. [1, 2, 3, 4]
- Paint and decorate: Let kids paint the dry clay shapes with colorful acrylic paints. Allow the paint to dry fully. [1]
- Tie to the frame: Cut lengths of string. Tie one end securely to each clay piece and the other end to your wooden stick or dowel. [1, 2]
- Hang it up: Tie a longer piece of string to both ends of the stick to create a loop for hanging.
